NAM is project for monitoring of air quality. More about project itself You can find here
NAM measures particular matter dust in air (and few more parameters) doing it for resonable price and with the best possible accuracy.
There is a few project iterations and variants. To let You choose we have prepared this short guide.
At beginning NAM kits were meant only as DIY kits - to solder (just big, THT elements, no SMD small parts). So if You can do it You have most options. Also - we made a lot efforts to make soldering as easy as possible. We know that for many people this is first project they solder. You may review soldering instructions, to see if this is something You could consider: NAM 0.3.3 motherboard soldering
If answer is: No keep head up, there are still some options for You.
First, we have created kit with NAM being presoldered, so the only thing You need to do is to assemble it. Second option is to use Sensor Community Kit, which also does not require soldering and provides similar measurements.
NAM advantage over SC kits is its heating chamber. That yields with more accurate results in high humidity (70% and more) conditions.
WiFi is required for NAM sensor to work. In most cases, if Your phone has good WiFi coverage, then NAM STD will work OK. In other cases, NAM PRO (with external antenna with better parameters) could make a differenece.
Warning NAM PRO requires You to solder one, singe SMD element, so take that in account.
